PHB Ethical Beauty is a trail-blazing family business specialising in Natural, Vegan & Cruelty Free Beauty products. We contribute 20% of all net profits to charities & projects we support - meaning our customers money is used to make positive changes in our world.
In 2015 Orbis were one of the very first charities we decided to support, with their Vision for Zambia project. This charity has always been close to our hearts, they provide sight saving operations and treat preventable blindness all around the world. This year, after 3 years of working with Orbis on other projects, they contacted us about taking part in the Great Ethiopia Run. The work this charity is doing has touched us deeply for many years, and we were so excited by this opportunity and impelled to act.
This year marks 20 years that Orbis has been in Ethiopia treating & curing preventable blindness. To celebrate this incredible achievement, the team at PHB has decided not to simply give money - instead we’ll be joining a group of up to 100 other Orbis fundraisers from around the world, taking part in Ethiopia’s Great Run this November.
Co-Founders (Rose & John) along with close friends & colleagues Metz and Sara, will raise £14,000 and take part in the 10k run. It’s a big ask for all of them, and for Metz in particular as he broke his foot earlier this year – yet he’s still determined to take part, what a Legend!
After the run, Orbis will take them to visit their projects and hospitals in southern Ethiopia, and to see first-hand the incredible work that goes into treating trachoma, a preventable disease affecting millions worldwide. During the trip, the team are going to document their journey along the way and share the work Orbis with our followers through Facebook and Instagram.
Orbis were the first charity that we decided to support when we launched (our charity) The One Love Foundation and it’s incredible to be supporting them this year with our biggest campaign yet!
