I am running the Great Midlands Fun Run 8.5miles to help my friend Julia celebrate her significant birthday this year.

Julia is an active member of South Staffs Dogs trainning team, who are associated with Sunnyside Kennels (part of B'ham Dogs Home) who take in and care for stray and neglected dogs.

I have agreed to raise funds for this charity, in memory of our lovely West Highland Terrier Lily who was put to sleep earlier this year after six wonderful years as a pet.

This is Julia's first event and needs the support, and mine for over three years since doctors advised me to give up running or risk never walking again.
