Manchester Marathon 2021 · 10 October 2021 ·

Kinder MRT is launching a campaign to fund the replacement of one of our rescue vehicles - essential to provide time-critical, on- and off-road mobility to get casualties safely and rapidly off the hill.

Story

I’ve signed up for the Manchester Marathon as a pretty big personal challenge. I could run 6 miles earlier this year and I’ve challenged myself to now run 26.2. It seemed a good idea at the time. It’s taken all of my grit and determination. to stick to the last 16 weeks of my training plan. Though  my mental health has only got stronger as have my calves!

I spend a lot of time in the hills and  my local mountain rescue team are in need of financial help. They do a fantastic job of saving lives and helping people in need and they do it as volunteers. Already this year they have been out  to dozens of emergencies. So, I’d like to raise as much as I can to help them to buy a new 4x4 (£85,000) to help them get out on to the hills quicker and with more kit.

Thank you for your support.
