Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Last year I was diagnosed with CLL (Chronic Lymphocytic Leukaemia) and am currently receiving treatment.

The support from everyone within the NHS has been great and I’m lucky that I seem to be responding well to the treatment.

Early on in my diagnosis, I was guided toward Cancer Help who are a local charity that supports families of those suffering from cancer illnesses.

They have been there for us when I’ve needed guidance or advice and as you can imagine, no question goes unanswered nor is it too trivial.
What I have come to understand is how confusing, distracting and at times, overwhelming it can be. Having a person to talk to, or visit locally is of great support.

So in the spirit of all things charity and needing to give a little back I’m looking to raise some money to donate to this worthwhile and appreciated charity.

So me and the other cycling ‘bookend’, Mick has decided to cycle 100 miles to that effect.

Yes I know it’s in Cheshire and that beautiful county is not known for its Alpine climbs but neither of us are 9 stone so please be kind and generous.

Keep on freewheeling.

Phil
