Story

Well, the time has come! I head off to Florence tomorrow ahead of my bike to prepare for our departure on Saturday. The training is done and I am in the finest shape this 58 year old body is going to be in! It's time to get stuck into this adventure and I am sure it will be just that. A massive thank you to each and every one of you who has contributed to this impressive fundraising total. I am chuffed to bits and it will of course help to motivate when the batteries run flat. I am hoping to get to £60k by the end of it all and with a couple of post ride fundraisers I think I'll get there. The goal is to raise a collective £1 million between us all. It goes without saying that this WILL make a difference.......So thank you.....from me, from Cure Leukaemia and from everyone who stands to benefit from your generosity. Big love. Phil

In just a few weeks time I will be tackling The Tour 21 on behalf of Cure Leukaemia, alongside 17 amateur cyclists as we look to complete the full Tour de France route one week ahead of the professionals. Starting in Tuscany, The Tour 21 will take place from Saturday 22 June - Sunday 14 July and will tackle all 21 gruelling stages of the Tour de France route - one of the world's most gruelling sporting challenges. This year’s Tour route was announced last October and has been hailed as one of the toughest ever. With a record amount of climbing (55,000m) over 3500km it will wind its way through some extraordinary terrain between it’s start in Florence and unprecedented finish in Nice - due to Paris holding the 2024 Olympic Games. I have committed to raise a minimum of £30,000 and hope to raise significantly more. Between the 17 of us we hope to raise £1 million. It goes without saying this depends on the huge generosity of anyone who finds themselves on this page. I thank you all in advance.
