Glasgow Kiltwalk 2023 · 30 April 2023 ·

Our principal objective is to provide a domiciliary service to relieve carers in South Ayrshire from the stress of caring for persons who need constant supervision. Include those who have a physical, mental or sensory impairment, are frail and confused, are chronically sick, or are terminally ill.

Story

Caring is a 24/365 commitment

Having been a carer for my late wife I understand the demands caring puts on loved ones. Especially when the reason is Terminal Illness, Dementia or a mental health issue.  The demands are never ending and without support places an intolerable burden on the carer.

I became involved with Crossroads South Ayrshire in 2002 just after I lost my wife and have been a Trustee/Director of the charity ever since and regularly involved in Fundraising Events to raise funds to support Carers in South Ayrshire.

£20 will fund a trained care attendant to provide one hour of Respite Care.  Freeing the carer to take a much needed break in the safe knowledge that their loved one is being cared for.

Please help me raise funds to support Carers in South Ayrshire

Thank You
