Story
I started walking long distance events 3 years ago, and each year I set myself tougher challenges. After completing the 45 mile Across Wales walk last year, I decided to enter the 2012 Hundred mile walk organised by the LDWA (http://www.ldwa.org.uk/2012Hundred) with the objective of seeing how much I could complete in the time allowed.
Sadly, my uncle developed cancer shortly afterwards and passed away in December. During his illness he was looked after by Marie Curie Cancer Care, and I believe they gave him the best care possible.
Because I wish more patients and their families to benefit from this support, I have decided to go the extra (100) mile and raise money for Marie Curie.
The event will be taking place in London on 2nd June 2012, and in the meantime I will be posting updates on my training on my facebook page http://www.facebook.com/100milewalk
