London Marathon 2017 · 23 April 2017 ·

Every day in the UK, another 240 people wake up to the catastrophic impact of a stroke. The Stroke Association is the only charity in the UK providing lifelong support for all stroke survivors and their families.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I've always had some sort of twisted desire to run a Marathon, and what better one to do than London!

I'm hoping to raise as much money as possible for the Stroke Association by putting myself through God knows how many hours of blisters, sweat & pain. Having experienced seeing my Dad going through the trauma of having a Stroke, and being frustrated with the lack of good aftercare being offered or even available to him, it's vital that organisations like the Stroke Association are there to offer help and support throughout every stage of recovery.

So if having to endure a few hours (or 5?) of nipple chafing helps a few others in a similar situation feel as though they have someone to lean on, then it'll be worth it.

Thank you for the support,
Phil
