Despite continuing advances in cancer research it is still an awful diagnosis, it has a profound effect on the person diagnosed, their family and their friends and there is still so much to be done to improve diagnosis, treatment and after-care.

That's why myself and Jim are taking on this challenge to cycle from John O'Groats to Lands' End. The work that Cancer Research UK fund is something that has become incredibly important to me and to be able to give something back, and help fund more research through everyone's donations means so much.

We will be taking on this 1000 mile challenge at the end of June, cycling over 100 miles a day for 9 consecutive days, hoping to arrive at Lands' End on Saturday 2nd July.
