Atlantic Crossing with Arc + · 17 November 2017

SOS Children's Villages UK offers unsupported children worldwide the chance to grow up in a safe and nurturing family environment with education and healthcare. We work to reduce family breakdown and child abandonment and protect at-risk children affected by conflict and disaster.

Story

As some of you maybe aware I am currently crossing the Atlantic as part of the 2017 Arc + Rally. So far during this trip we have picked up the Arc + mascot Ed the Iguana and together we have visited the SOS Children's Village in Mindelo to see the work carried out by their Family Strengthening Programme.

Having taken part in the Arc + for the last few years, Ed has become very fond of the children in the Cape Verde Islands and a firm supporter of the work done by SOS Children's Village Mindelo.

Together Ed and I have decided to use the 2017 trip as an opportunity to raise funds for this excellent facility and help them to continue  to assist when  poverty and difficult life situations mean that many parents cannot care for their children adequately and children end up on the streets and out of eduction.

Your supported will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you, Philip and Ed
