Three Peaks Challenge · 16 June 2011

After 150 years of playing cricket at the Gladstone Estate we had to move to a new home. We are raising money in 2018 with the 40 mile Lyke Wake Challenge to support the building of a pavilion and community facilities at the new ground. Any donation to support our walkers would be fantastic.

Story

Thanks for visiting the fundraising page of Hawarden Park's elite group of athletes (ahem) raising money for the new ground appeal.  Our team of 20 will be climbing Britain's 3 highest peaks in 24 hours.

So please sponsor us now!

Hawarden Park Cricket club, founded in 1866 is having to relocate its ground after 144 years playing within the Hawarden Castle Estate. The club if to survive, has to generate money to cover the cost of a new pavilion and a ground development, no mean feat for one of Wales oldest clubs. The club is very ambitious, running 3 junior sides, 5 senior sides and the only women’s team in N Wales (playing its cricket in the Cheshire women’s league)and it is determined to ensure that future generations have the opportunity to play cricket in Hawarden. Your contribution will contribute the cost of the ground work being undertaken in 2011, and the pavilion construction in 2012. Any contribution you can make will be gratefully received.
