The past 18 months have been really tough for us all. For the families that access a children’s hospice - every day, month and year can be tough. Working at Rainbows I get to meet amazing children and young people and am passionate about the work we do. So as always, I wanted to support our work again this year.

However, this time I also want to promote other children’s hospices across the country. Each and every one of these hospices are committed to ensuring the best possible quality of care, and therefore the best quality of life, to those who need their services.

So we have come up with a crazy plan to cycle 732 km (455 miles) visiting six hospices across the country over six days, starting on Friday 10 September. We would have loved to visit all 54 services, but it will be amazing to see the wonderful people at:

Bluebell wood (Sheffield), Martin House (Wetherby), Claire House (Wirrell), Hope House (Oswestry), Acorns (Worcester). And of course we will be starting and finishing at Rainbows.

Please consider donating as I am attempting to raise a pound for every km I ride. But more so, please share far and wide as if people are aware that there is a service in their area they might support them. Sadly there will be those that need to use a Childrens hospice, if they have heard of their local provider though something like this they are more likely to be able to access the support they deserve at the time they need it.
