FFC AWAY DAY CYCLE 2020

FFC AWAY DAY CYCLE 2020 · 9 April 2020
Those who know me well have heard me talk for years about taking on a decent length charity bike ride. Not quite sure why, as I’m not an avid bike rider – my bike is a 12 year old mountain bike with a dodgy set of gears and slightly out of shape front wheel.
But it’s always something I’ve wanted to do and with a great cause to cycle and raise money for, I’ve now decided it’s time (with a little shove/help from close family members!)
So on the 9th April, I will set off from Craven Cottage, along with 31
other Fulham fans and cycle the 140 miles to Nottingham Forest's City Ground. The cycle will run over 2 days with an overnight stop in Market Harborough before finishing at the City Ground in time for Fulham's' fixture against Nottingham Forest. The challenge will help us raise vital funds for Fulham FC Foundations work in the community.
For those not in the know…Fulham Football Club Foundation is the award-winning charitable arm of Fulham FC and home to FFC Women. Their aim is to empower the most vulnerable members of the community through education and training, social inclusion, disability, health and participation programmes.
At the heart of it’s work is a commitment to empowering the most vulnerable members of the communities it serves, including Lambeth, Merton, Kingston, Hammersmith & Fulham and Surrey.
Not quite sure how this is going to work out based on a current lack of fitness, but I’ve started a training program and if you’re able to support me through any size of donation I’d be grateful.
Many thanks.
Now off for some training…..!
