Indoor half marathon row · 10 October 2020

We provide support, advice and housing for people experiencing a problem with their mental health here in Birmingham. Last year 25,850 people accessed our services. We could not provide these services without your support. It makes a real difference to people in our community, thank you.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As some of you may know I had an accident in late May (knocked off my bike by a car) where I broke my right leg (tibia) and fractured a vertebrae (T12).  As part of my recovery I have been indoor rowing, so as I can't run yet and the Birmingham half marathon is postponed/cancelled (which I have done the last few years), I will be rowing a half marathon (21098 m) on the 10th October (starting at 10 am).  If you would like to check I am actually doing it then will stream on zoom (email me (robbinspt 'at' gmail.com) for the link).

In addition BUCES (our student chemical engineering society) has organised a 10k running event (https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/rosie-pope3?fbclid=IwAR0o21GSuguSXSHvwXXpxw9LlQvxmwMXKwCuQX1xBqBOoFmreGj4bb2KRns) also for Birmingham Mind which is their chosen charity to support this year, so I thought would try and get in on the act and participate in a way I currently can.  Should also help me recover some fitness!
