Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am Corporal Phill Taber of the Royal Engineers and I received gunshot wounds to both legs in 2010 whilst serving in Afghanistan.  Since then I have had to over come numerous operations and undertaken hours of rehabilitation, to regain the reasonable use of my legs.  Last year three of us climbed Mt Snowdon raising funds for service charities.  This year after being inspired by the invaluable work carried out by CAP, I am going to try and swimming a mile in the Great North Swim.  This event takes place at lake Windermere, and although a mile does not sound that far it actually equates to 64 lengths of a 25 metre swiming pool.  Plus I will only be using my arms when in the water due to my injuries, making this an even bigger challenge.
