Story

"I recall saying that when I ran the London Marathon in 2010 it was most definitely to be the first and last time! However a very persuasive Sarah Burnard from Hope for Home convinced me (and reminded me) how much I enjoyed the experience and also how generous our friends and family had been in raising an enormous amount of money. We continue to rely on your generosity , so please any money you can spare will make a real and direct difference to those that really need it. Thank you." Phil

"Last year I ran the London marathon for this very worthy charity and between us we raised a great deal of money. The run itself did not go as I had hoped resulting in a rather long stop off in a recovery tent!! So I spoke to Sarah from Hope for Home and decided to give it another go this year and I have been busy training hard. We received a great deal of generosity last year which has helped many families stay closer to their loved ones for longer. Please continue to support us this year by giving kindly again".  Darren

Hi everybody.  I can’t believe that when I agreed to run the marathon with my best buddy Phil that I would actually have done the training and look like I can actually complete it with him.  This is my first marathon and I am really looking forward to the ups and downs of the experience.  The Charity ‘Hope for Home’ is a local charity to where I grew up and for those that don’t know I grew up in South East London and the charity helped my Nana in the last few days of her life.  Any support and help you can give will be a great boost to Philip, Darren and myself in the last few miles of the finish line.  Matt
