Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I currently play goalball for West Yorkshire in the Intermediate League (North) and Phoenix Blaze in the Elite League. I also help coach at taster sessions and tournaments.

As well as goalball, I enjoy lots of other sports including cycling. I took part in the Goalball UK Coast to Coast tandem bike challenge in 2015 which was an amazing experience! I was therefore keen to do something similar for the #TwoPointSixChallenge.

So, together with Kathryn Fielding, I have decided to cycle the length of the Leeds to Liverpool canal. Officially this is 127 miles which equals 204km. I am sure that there will be at least one minor diversion though - probably for a coffee and cake stop - so we will definitely ride over 206km in total!

Updated 24th July - A slight change of plan..........!
Having done lots of training rides along the Trans Pennine Trail the past few months with Kathryn, talking about the ups and downs of our respective football teams as we cycled along, we have decided to change our route. For our challenge we are therefore now going to be cycling from Oakwell Stadium (home of Barnsley FC) to Goodison Park (home of Everton FC).
