Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer. Just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this disease. We are a leading voice calling for support and action for research into what is called the last battleground against cancer.

Story

When he was 19 years old my Godson, Ned (Hilton), had a tumour removed from his brain, two ops within eight days of each other. He completed a six week course of intensive radiotherapy, which was followed by an equally intensive course of Chemo which lasted for 36 weeks.

His surgery severed the nerves to half of his facial muscles. Last year he underwent further surgery to repair those nerve endings - quite remarkable. He is slowly regaining control of his face and we are seeing the return of his wonderful smile.

It's quite inspirational watching him stoically cope with all the various complications. He's had to miss out of nearly two full years of Uni and has been deeply frustrated by physical and mental limitations placed upon him. He is a truly amazing young man.
