Muscular Dystrophy UK is the charity bringing individuals, families and professionals together to beat muscle-wasting conditions.

Story

My son, Adam, was in his second year at Royal Holloway university of London college when he lost his courageous life-long battle with Duchennes Muscular Dystrophy in December 2010, aged 19 years 6 months..

Adam was a bright and articulate young man who is remembered for his smile and happy countenance, never without an opinion or witty retort.  He was loved and admired by all who knew him. He is sorely missed by all.

When I saw the promotion for the "Four Course Classic" I was immediately motivated to take part to raise money for this, the most worthy of causes, that is close to my heart. Three of my colleagues from IBM immediately volunteered to make up the foursome and we chose to play the "Romsey" challenge.

Our tee times are:

04.00am - Start at Wellow Golf Club with the larks

08.30am - Romsey Golf Club

12.57pm - Bramshaw Golf Club - Forest Course

Finally, stumbling onto: Paultons Golf Centre at 5:32pm, hopefully finishing with the setting sun.. rather than by moon-light...

So, 4 full rounds of golf in less than 18 hours!! 2 rounds in a day has left me worn out on the few occasions I have attempted it! We are looking forward to this challenge to raise much needed funds for the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign.
