Story

I am raising money for the MS Trust because they are a phenomenal charity, who are genuinely so approachable. They support anyone affected by MS, whether it's that they have it, or know someone who has it.

Both my mum and my best friend's dad have MS. We grew up together seeing the impact it had on our parents, and people around them, ourselves included. MS can be unpredictable and scary, and I thought the least I can do is raise money and awareness for the MS Trust. I want to challenge myself beyond what I think my limits are in a huge way, which has led to me entering the marathon.

The MS Trust provides support and counselling to those affected by MS, funds MS nurses locally, and has a free phoneline where they can answer any questions regarding MS and provide a helpful, friendly listening ear. The counselling in particular has hugely helped my mum.

MS is overlooked with it often being invisible, and few people know much about it. So as well as raising money for the MS Trust, I'm hoping to raise awareness to create more acceptance and understanding about MS, and to help people get diagnosed quicker.

I'm documenting my running progress on instagram at @afitnesshun if anyone would like to follow along!
