Story

A group of 6 of us has decided to cover 992 miles in the month of may. Either running, walking, cross trainer or cycling. An individual effort of 5.4 miles a day.

As everyone knows the recent death of HRH Prince Phillip, as most people know he was massive into supporting charities. In fact he was associated with 992 of them. He was a massive advocate in supporting wildlife charities and being involved with everything outdoors including the duke of Edinburgh awards. To show out respect on how amazing one man can make such a massive impact we have decided to complete this charity event. Due to the group of 6 currently on deployment in the Falklands Islands. It is very much appropriate to be raising money for a charity that conserve the Falklands natural environment through community outreach, practical conservation research and delivery.

About the charity

Falklands Conservation is the largest membership based conservation charity in the Islands. We work on behalf of our members and in partnership with the local and international community to conserve the Falklands natural environment, through practical conservation, advocacy and community outreach.
