In April 2025, I will be taking on the huge challenge of running the London Landmarks Half Marathon for Young Lives Vs Cancer. In May 2023 I was unfortunately diagnosed with Thyroid Cancer, as you can imagine, it was awful. As much as my family’s support was amazing, I was at rock bottom. This was when Young Lives offered their support to me; I was given a support worker who helped me with everything. I was offered therapy, help financially as I was unable to work all summer, and help with university. It was the first charity to make me feel heard and supported - like someone cared….

A year into remission and I want to do something to make some money for a charity close to my heart, in order to help whoever it may be next. Since being ill my fitness has dropped along with my self belief, so I wanted to do something in order to push myself, improve my mental health and prove cancer doesn’t stop you from achieving goals. So please, if you have any spare pennies, I would be eternally grateful for any donations.
