Me and Tim have set this page up so people can give money to the rosemary suite in colchester general instead of flowers at Phoenixs funeral.

This Is Why.....

Me and Tim have had to go through such a hard time these last few weeks. There is nothing worse then being told "im sorry somethings not gone right in this pregnancy there is no heartbeat" nothing prepares you for those words and your own heart stops and drops to your stomach. You think nothing in the world will help you. 

Knowing me and Tim had just lost our baby threw us into turmoil and everything was such a blur we were told we'd have to induce the pregnancy and I would have to give birth to our sleeping baby, then came the most amazing midwives and the rosemary suite, a home from home it has all the comforts needed , no clinical bed sheets and funny medicinal smell. It was like our own home it has a microwave, fridge , toaster ,kettle and telly and a couple of rocking chairs and  normal bed sheets but none of which would be there if it wasnt for past parents that have gone through the same and similar trageic fate. One of the worries that I had was finding a memory box and what I would put in it and would it be big enough, this was another thing that we found out that was offered free of charge because people had given money to fund these boxes and were full of little things I hadnt thought of , ink pads for hand and foot printing two little bears one for phoenix and one for us, a small box to put a lock of hair in (for those babies blessed with a full head of hair) a blanket we could use for phoenix then take home as a comfort and many more items which you can add and replace as need be. The midwives along side the rosemary suite made our sad time very precious and a positive experience we are thankful that we were able to spend so much time with our Phoenix and that was thanks to cuddle cot a special cold cot that helped preserve him and keep our memories of him pleasant the only problem is that they only have one of these special cots and I feel that had there of been another couple at the same time as us that needed that cot what would of happened as one of us would of had less time with our precious babies so I would like any money raised for Phoenix to go towards purchasing a new Cuddle cot so that never has to happen.
