VSO 24 Peaks Challenge 2011 · 10 September 2011 ·

VSO is an international development organisation that brings people together to share skills, build capabilities, and change lives to make the world a fairer place for all. Everyday, VSO volunteers are working to empower people living in some of the world’s most marginalised communities.

Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

On the 10th & 11th September, in the beautiful Lake District, we will be taking a short stroll of 32.5 miles to raise over £4.500 for VSO (probably the best charity in the world)

Why are we doing this?  This year all money raised for VSO’s   24 Peaks Challenge will go towards a VSO project in Northern Ghana that’s helping get more girls into school. Education – particularly the education of girls – is one of the surest ways to break the cycle of poverty.  By your giving, you’ll be helping more than 200,000 girls in one of the world’s poorest countries get the education they deserve.

Here are more details about the project. www.investinthema.org.uk

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
