The 100,000 step challenge will help ensure Special Olympics can continue to provide their life-changing services to people with an intellectual disability in my locality and help get you active again during this difficult time.

Story

Special Olympics athletes are experiencing isolation and loneliness now more than ever. Their clubs are not only a place where they get fit and learn a sport but they are a vital social outlet. Athletes are missing their friends and local volunteers whom are now part of their family. Special Olympics' programmes, including their new Together at Home Programme which is designed to support Special Olympics athletes at home during these challenging times, it enables their athletes to look after their physical and mental health and help them stay connected with their friends. To help support Special Olympics Ireland, I'm taking on the 100,000 step challenge to ensure they can continue to provide our life-changing services to people with an intellectual disability in our locality I'm gong to walk 100,000 steps over the next 10 days (approx 80km) and I would really appreciate any support you might be able to give for my challenge.
