Pier to Port Inclusive Cycling Ride · 4 October 2014 ·

Our mission is to help people of all ages & walks of life get cycling. Through cycling, we tackle the key social issues & help people become happier, healthier & more connected to their communities. *Please note: If you tick to donate anonymously, we can't email you our thanks!*

Story

Life Cycle UK runs several cycling groups which aim to enable people who may otherwise find it difficult to cycle to do so. Our groups have come together for this ride between two iconic landmarks- from  Weston-super-Mare to Bristol's Clifton Suspension Bridge to help support three of our inclusive cycling projects: Bike Minded, the Over 55's and Twos's Company.

Two's Company is a tandem riding group giving adults and young people who are blind or visually impaired the opportunity to go on social group tandem rides, enjoy the sounds and smells of the countryside and take part in a fun and social activity.

Bike Minded is a mental well-being project aimed at anyone experiencing issues with their mental well-being. We run supported group rides, assist those without a bike to access one at low cost and help with cycle training and route planning to help give people the confidence to cycle independently.

Our Over 55s project gives older people a chance to get out, take exercise and socialise in and around their local communities.
