On October 4th, 2015 we (Carolyn and Jess -Mother and Daughter) are joining the #PINKARMY and will be taking part in the UK's 1st ever ALL WOMEN ONLY Marathon in support of Cancer Research UK.

Having personally witnessed the unfairness and pain that this horrid disease can cause, we want to do our bit ... and 'GET 'ER DONE!'

It's not an easy challenge for us, one of us (the older, grey haired, large one) can currently only walk 3 miles or so and the other one of us (the younger, pink haired one) has never walked nearly as far either!

We've started training for this as a team. We are going to the gym and training and walking and encouraging each other.

WE WANT TO COMPLETE THIS IN UNDER 8 HOURS! (which means walking briskly for 26 miles)

At the moment it seems impossible but we'll make it happen!
