We’re Breast Cancer Now, the charity that’s steered by world-class research and powered by life-changing care. We’re here for anyone affected by breast cancer, the whole way through, providing support for today and hope for the future. By 2050, we believe everyone diagnosed with breast cancer will live – and be supported to live well. But we need to act now.

Story

I am taking part in this year's Pink Ribbon Walk at Chatsworth to remember Shelley who I not only got to work with for over 13 years but she also became my best friend in this time. She sadly died of secondary breast cancer in December 2022 and I have missed her every day since.

We used to always volunteer together at our events like the Pink Ribbon Walk, Great North Run, Carols services along side our day job and had so much fun together making sure these events could run smoothly. If I am totally honest I cannot imagine volunteering at another event without her, so instead I am doing what she always encouraged - exercise! and challenging myself to try and walk 20 miles and raise money at the same time for us. There is a team of us from our Sheffield office who knew and loved Shelley and we will be all taking part to walk this for her as well.

Breast Cancer Now fund their world-class research and life-changing care for anyone affected by breast cancer. By 2030, its estimated that 1.2 million women will be living with the disease. Breast Cancer Now are uniting to make life-saving discoveries and are here to offer expert support to anyone, the whole way through their breast cancer experience. But we cant do it alone. By sponsoring my Pink Ribbon Walk you can help change the lives of men and women and the future of breast cancer. Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
