Story

Hi All

I will keep my story running as short as possible.

My journey with running started about 18 months ago. I was heavily overweight at a time (more likely obese to be honest). 2 years ago, my scale said 102kg! I used to cycle quite a bit back then, but weight loss wasn’t going very well. In early autumn 2016, I decided to try running instead (wasn’t really feeling safe on a road cycling). So, I started Couch to 5k program (run/walk coaching app). And that pretty much changed my life. In 2017 I have completed numbers of running events including my very first half Marathon in Cheltenham.

At that point, I became pretty much addicted to running. Since then I entered many more events but the most important one took place on 8th April 2018. I have completed my first ever MARATHON. Along approx. 10000 other runners, we ran through the city of Manchester. Weather conditions were perfect not too cold not too warm and dry. Took me 3 hours and 55 minutes to cover 26.2 miles (42km). I’m not going to lie, it did hurt but it was worth it. I enjoyed every second of it. Can’t wait to do it again.

I hope you enjoyed my story/journey.

Thank you all for reading.
Piotr
