On the 10th and 11th June I will be doing The Welsh 3 Peaks challenge. I will start with Snowdon, then Cadair Idris and then Pen Y Fan.

Snowdon/ Yr Wyddfa (1805m) - I will attempt to climb the Horned Crag Route; 255m of vertical rock face, graded VDiff, in 10-12 pitches, on the final push for the summit. The hike to the base of the climb is approximately 500m elevation gain. Time: 9 hours.

Cadair Idris (893m) - I will attempt to scramble the Cyfrwy Arete; 10.5km with 890m elevation gain, graded 3S. Time: 8 hours.

Pen Y Fan (886m) - I will hike 6.5km with 440m elevation gain. Time: 3 hours.

This is the plan if weather is favourable. If conditions aren't suitable I will still attempt to summit all 3 peaks but by the fastest/safest route.

I am doing the Welsh 3 Peaks because a year ago (19/1/22) I was diagnosed with MS. I want to raise money but I also want to show other newly diagnosed people that its still possible to have an active life and challenge yourself physically.
