Story

I am 97 years old and raising money for Hearing Dogs for Deaf People by walking The Great British Dog Walk! Having a hearing dog is an important and essential part of my life and I want everyone to know how wonderful and special Amy is. I also want to help other people have the same opportunity to improve their life and situation by having something that also provides love, companionship and emotional support, which is really important as many deaf people can feel lonely and isolated, especially in these Covid-19 times. Every penny I raise will go to Hearing Dogs and help transform another deaf person's life. I am personally indebted to the highly trained Amy  who once alerted me to a life saving smoke alarm.  Just one of the many great ways she comforts and supports me.  It is important to know that this charity receives no central government funding and it costs £25,000 to fully train an accredited hearing dog, so The Great British Dog Walk is a great way to raise funds to train more dogs and I am so proud of Amy and want to do my best for her. Any donation, however large or small, will really help. Thank you.
