Swim Serpentine 2016 · 24 September 2016 to 25 September 2016 ·

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I've always been a weak swimmer as I broke my arms when I was a kid* and missed learning to swim properly. A year ago I finally learnt front crawl at my local pool and now I want to complete Swim Serpentine for the Alzheimer's Society. It's definitely going to be a challenge but I'm doing it for my dad and all the other Alzheimer's patients and their carers. Please donate if you can, it will really REALLY help me along the way.

I've decided to do this donating through JustGiving it's simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

* I can officially confirm that this was totally my own fault and my brother James had no responsibility for the incident whatsoever.  I was just a tad headstrong, did not listen to reason or have any respect for authority and insisted on, literally, going head first. Some things never change.
