GB Row Challenge Series

GB Row · 8 June 2020
Plastic Oceans UK is proud to be the charity partner for GB Row Challenge. The toughest rowing race has teamed up to provide vital scientific support to help end the toughest mission that this planet currently faces: ending plastic pollution.
This year, the challenge kicks off from Tower Bridge on 5 July, the team of four young rowers shall be taking on the toughest row, for the toughest mission. Aiming to beat the record of 35 days, the team shall be rowing non-stop around the UK.
If you would like to support the team directly, please visit their Just Giving page (https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/exe-endurow) and support their two charities of choice, British Red Cross and Just One Ocean that are doing such brilliant work.
During the row around the coast, vital samples will be collected and information gathered. This data shall be sent to Portsmouth University and used to understand the real effects of plastic and other pollution within our UK coastlines.
