On August 6th last year we lost a friend - Gareth Pezzack, the most unassuming, wry humoured and good natured of men I have had the pleasure of spending time with. Claire, someone I have come to admire as a truly remarkable lady, lost her wonderful husband whilst their two delightful boys, Tom and Gethin, said goodbye to the most caring and supportive father anyone could wish for.
Wanting to help and to remember but unsure as to what I could do that would be of any practical use I decided to try and raise awareness and a little money; helping Marie Curie in their on going care and support of people who find themselves, often through no rhyme or reason, amidst the most difficult of times. I've been running or riding each day since Monday 7th August. Worried about letting people down and a lack of confidence in my ability to maintain the challenge meant an initial delay in sharing this page. I'm highly unlikely to run any decent times or break any records but am committed to the challenge of getting my kit on and getting out - every single day regardless of rain, shine, illness, time or fatigue.
Each day in the challenge is a celebration of the things that are important to us all and an appreciation that nothing is permanent.
I posted this on day 130 and over a third of the way to my initial target - it's about time to get fund raising! Please help.
