Story
On 30th June 2016, we were dropped off at Plynlimon (source of the River Severn) and started following it back home on foot. We covered the 133 mile distance over 5 days with nothing more than our backpacks, some soggy instructions and a couple of dodgy B&B bookings.
It was an interesting few days and if you followed the journey on Facebook, you will know that despite the blisters, we had some fun along the way. Apart from the 'cow' fields. They were just scary.
We arrived back in Worcester to a heroes' welcome (thank you to our hardcore fans) and officially finished the walk at the Diglis Hotel. On 26th May 2017, we are setting off again from here and following the Severn down to Bristol. (About 5.30am if you would like to wave us off). This leg of the journey is planned to take us 3 days, so arriving at the Severn Estuary sometime on 28th May.
Last year lots of people asked if we were doing it for charity, which we weren't as we knew we still had the second half to go. But this year, as we plan our next 91ish miles, it would be wonderful if you could spare £1 or £2.
We are collecting for Malvern Special Families who provide safe, stimulating and fun social opportunities for children and young people with disabilities. The service they provide is invaluable as disabled children have limited access to youth clubs and playschemes, as the clubs just don't exist. So your donation, however small, can make a big difference to these children's (and parents') lives.
And........ if we reach our donation target, we might not subject you to too many FB photos.......you decide!
