I'm part of the South London Cares #RemoteRelay team!

The #RemoteRelay · 20 July 2020 to 27 July 2020 ·
I know it's "only" a 10K and a lot of you lot eat up that much road for breakfast, laugh in the face of a tri or are even partial to a marathon.
So don't sponsor the deed (although god knows giving my post-lockdown, over-wined, under-exercised self about 6 weeks to get into shape for it possibly warrants a fiver on completion) - cough up for the cause.
South London Cares is part of The Cares Family - a group of brilliant charities helping older and younger neighbours across parts of London, Manchester and Liverpool to find community and connection. Reckon we could all do with a bit more community and connection right now, don't you?
Most of you will have had your ears chewed off by me at some point about South London Cares. It's a brilliant charity making a difference right on my doorstep. They have really been going over and above their usual brilliance since suspending their regular programming in March because of COVID-19 and I would be so grateful if you could send a few pounds my way. Thank you x

With Covid-19 resulting in more and more people self-isolating and feeling disconnected, the need for connection has never been greater. That's why I'm taking part in the #RemoteRelay, taking on a 10k RUN to raise money for South London Cares.
South London Cares is a community network of younger and older neighbours hanging out and helping one another in our rapidly changing city. They do this because whilst London is a vibrant, fun and exciting place to live, it can be incredibly isolating, lonely and disconnecting.
Throughout COVID-19, South London Cares has been supporting older people by delivering Virtual Social Clubs, creating phone friendships, posting #AloneTogether packs full of daily creative activities and regularly checking in with the most isolated in their network. On the week of 20th July, I'm taking part in South London Cares #RemoteRelay team. Please consider donating to help me keep these vital connections going during this time of uncertainty.
