Hi,

As many of you may know I signed up (in the sunshine, last summer under the influence of much rose!!) to a half Ironman, to remind myself it’s a 1900 meter sea swim, 90k bike and half a marathon!

My training had been hugely helped by my ever supportive family, but more importantly my amazing mother in law Jennifer who sadly we lost some six weeks ago after her courageous fight with a brain tumour.

I am so very lucky to have had 23 years with this amazing lady, I am doing my race on Saturday in her honour.

Through the final weeks of Jen's illness the amazing team from St Luke's Hospice in Devon, a small hospice with such special people, took care of her.

I would like to raise all I can for this fabulous place, in times where they were not expected they were there, in times of pain they were there, amazing people with amazing qualities.

Please do support this wonderful little hospice as it helps families going through this very sad and painful time.
