A Virtual Race at Polygon

Camilla Gentile is raising money for Little Hearts Matter

A Virtual Race at Polygon · 3 August 2020

Little Hearts Matter is a national charity offering support and information to anyone affected by the devastating diagnosis of a single ventricle heart condition, children born with half a working heart. We work to support and raise awareness of the needs of these children and their families.

Story

Although isolation guidelines are lifting, we’re fairly sure that most people won’t be jetting off on their holidays too soon. With this in mind, Polygon staff will be taking part in a virtual journey around Polygon’s depots to raise money for Little Hearts Matter.

We will be counting our steps each day, with an aim of hitting 449 miles as a team by 30th September. 449 miles or 948,288 steps is the distance between our Chudleigh depot in Devon and our Cumbernauld Glasgow depot.

The Polygon race will take place between Monday 3rd August and 30th September 2020.

Thank you for your support.

We are in unprecedented and frightening times. Never before has the support, information and care provided by Little Hearts Matter been so urgently needed by the children, teenagers and adults living with only half a working heart. Every day they face the challenges created by their disability. Coronavirus has just added to their isolation, fear, lack of understanding. At a time when their support is needed most, LHM are faced with losing vast amounts of income.Taking part in this challenge will raise funds to help them be there for families.
