RTU is a grassroots organisation, working with the poorest children and families in rural communities in South India to change their lives for good. We build decent housing, drill wells, run schools, promote rural enterprise, and care for 1,000 orphaned children in 4 Children's Villages.

Story

Hi all,

As we said, your presence at our wedding is genuinely the best gift that we could wish for and we don't need anything more. However, if you really feel that you want to give something then a donation to 'Reaching the Unreached' would be an extra blessing!

This charity works in rural villages of South India, helping the poorest and most marginalised people - often women and children. They focus on healthcare, sanitation, housing and education and do a large amount of work with children who have been left orphaned.

The charity is close to our hearts for a number of reasons. Pooja and her Dad's family come from Southern India (which we were fortunate enough to visit together this year) and Joe has raised money for 'Reaching the Unreached' before as it was set up by a former teacher at St.Peter's (his secondary school and sixth form). We thought it would be fantastic if the charity and those it helps could benefit from our wedding.

Thanks for reading this, we are really looking forward to seeing you on the day!
