Norfolk Coast Mighty Hike 2025 - half marathon · 11 May 2025 ·

Set yourself an exciting new challenge and hike a full or half marathon along the beautiful Norfolk Coast to raise vital funds for people living with cancer.

Story

In May 2025, Pop and Grace will be hiking a half marathon along the Norfolk Coast.

This is a cause close to us and our family. In 2024, we found out that our dad, Tim Marriott has Multiple Myeloma, a type of blood cancer. We're incredibly lucky that it was found immediately, and that he started his treatment within a month of finding it, leading to the best possible chance of his recovery. Since July 2024, he's been through multiple bouts of chemo, plus an intense stem cell operation, and although he's still in treatment at the moment, we're so grateful that the treatment seems to be working as we hoped.

This is not the reality for millions of people, and that's why we want to do something to help. We've lost people in our family to cancer including our Grandma and our cousin's partner, both of whom received phenomenal care through Macmillan.

We'd be so grateful if you could help us reach our £250 pledge, which can pay for Macmillan Nurse for one day. This could provide people living with cancer and their families essential medical, practical and emotional support, something we have both benefitted from directly.

There are currently 3 million people living with cancer in the UK today. It's Macmillan's goal to be there for everyone from the moment of diagnosis, but they can't do this without donations.
