For those who know me, I have really bad knees, and I hate asking for money... but here I am attempting the Great North Run, and asking for your kind donations. 

I think the furthest I’ve ever ran is a 10k, and there were plenty breaks throughout that 😅so I’m going to train as hard as my knees will allow, and do my best for a great cause.

Dementia UK is important to me as I’ve seen how dementia affects the lives of so many. It’s an awful condition which takes away people’s independence, and often cherished memories. We spend all our lives making memories to look back on, however Dementia can take those away and leave those diagnosed not even able to identify their own family members at times. 

Dementia UK provides much needed advice and support for families, and those with Dementia. Dementia can be isolating for the individual, but also the family involved. My Mam and Aunty are hero’s for the way they help care for my Grandma. This charity would be so thankful for any donations. The support they give through their admiral nurses is helping many families throughout the UK live more positively with Dementia.
