In the UK, in 2015: 

2 women a week are killed by a current or former partner

3 women a week take their own lives to escape domestic violence

Refuge supports 2,800 women and children on any given day through a range of services, including refuges, independent advocacy, community outreach and culturally specific services. They also provide training, raise awareness and lobby on behalf of women and children suffering domestic violence.
