Story
A little bit about Poppy-mae.
Since Pops was a baby she has always struggled with her bowels, finally at 15months old test began, bloods, biopsys, medication, Xrays, MRI scans, ultrasounds this list is endless. It was shown her bowels don't work properly resulting in Mega Colon in places and rectum, which was the width of her. When your bowels don't work it affect a lot of your body, so as a result of this, Poppy suffers with headaches, joint pains, muscle pains, appetite issues, sleeplessness, mood swings and emotional anxiety issues. We have had numerous stays in hospital with NG (nasal gastric) tube to give her industrial strength medication to clear her bowels out but these are becoming more frequent and more traumatic for her. She now has a ACE stoma. This is where a tube will be fitted to her bowels through her appendix then changed to a MIC-key button, unfortunately that didnt work and has now had a subtotal colectomy and ileostomy bag as things are going how they should. Poppy, dispite this takes it all in her Stride and tries to make everyone happy around her. She is a little superstar 💖💖💖 Alder Hey Children's Hospital and Charity
She originally was going to Climb Snowdonia but due to her operation and coronavirus this hasn't been possible so will be climbing the equivalent steps up and down her stairs at home (953 times total up and down)
