Story

On 22nd/23rd September 2018, Team Poppyfields will be running 10k laps non-stop for 24 hours. Poppy Guilder is 15-years-old and has been fighting a brain tumour for over 14 years - she bravely underwent a 10-hour brain surgery just 4 months ago. Poppy herself will be completing laps along with an amazing team of family and friends...some of whom are aiming to run 100k!

Our fundraising supports brain tumour research at BCH - we have raised over £250,000 so far!

Thank you for helping us to make a difference to children like Poppy.

At Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity, we believe there’s always more we can do for our sick kids and that’s why we will always strive to do more for our patients and families. It’s our mission to raise the vital funds needed to make a real difference to all who use our hospital.Your support empowers us to take innovative approaches to treating some of the sickest children in the UK. Your fundraising enables us to make our hospital feel just like home. Your donations are helping us to find new ways to treat and cure childhood diseases.

About the charity

It's bewildering and unsettling for anyone going into hospital but especially for children and that is why we are a fundraising hospital. We raise funds to enhance the experience of our patients by providing state of the art medical equipment and facilities and creating a child-friendly environment.
