Running For Poppy: 6.6Km A Day In October · 1 October 2018

Tommy's funds medical research into the causes of premature birth, stillbirth and miscarriage. We’re dedicated to finding causes and treatments to save babies’ lives as well as providing trusted pregnancy and baby loss information and support.

Story

Our beautiful daughter Poppy was born on the 28th October 2016 at 4.37pm weighing 6lb6oz but due to a devastating brain injury she passed away on the 31st October 2016 at Leeds General Infirmary NICU at just three days old.

We are looking to raise funds in our daughters memory to help other families affected by loss and ensure our daughters memory lives on. We want to give Poppy a legacy to be proud of.

Tommy's fund valuable research into trying to prevent stillbirth, miscarriage and baby loss. They support families that have suffered the loss of a child and support them in future pregnancies with their Rainbow Clinics.

I wanted to really push myself this year and I was inspired by Jess from The Legacy Of Leo's Ignite Your Lion Campaign to really go for something challenging. I also want to show our rainbow, Poppy's little brother Reuben that you can achieve anything with hard work, determination and heart. As Poppy and Reuben weighed 6lb6oz I though it was fitting to run 6.6KM a day.

Sadly due to injury I have had to adapt the challenge to just running 66Km over the month instead.

This is all for you our darling Poppy, you are our inspiration every day! Always in our thought, forever in our hearts.
