Hello lovely friends and family!

Although the official Edinburgh Half Marathon event has been cancelled, a few friends and I have decided to run the route on the 19th of March anyway! I will be running for the Mathieson Music School in Kolkata. The school provides accommodation and education to children from the most deprived areas of the city. Those of you who know me will know that my Dadu (Mum's dad) is from Kolkata and that I visited the school in 2017 when my sister was teaching music and English there. Music is an important part of the school's ethos and all of the children learn a musical instrument, as well as Western and Indian dancing and singing. They are in the process of raising funds for the construction of an 'St John's International School' on the current site which will take students from all across India and neighbouring countries!

Anup Biswas, the school's founder has sent me some photos of the children and the new international school, which is already underway! I've put these in the gallery section of this page if you'd like to have a little look at what the money will be going towards.
