Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a life-shortening genetic condition that slowly destroys the lungs and digestive system. The Cystic Fibrosis Trust is the only UK-wide charity fighting for a life unlimited, when everyone living with CF can look forward to a long, healthy life. www.cysticfibrosis.org.uk

Story

In July 2017 we learnt that our daughter, Thea, had been diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis.

Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a life-limiting genetic condition affecting more than 10,000 people across the UK. It affects the lungs and digestive system. Currently, half of those with CF will not live past age 41.

As you can imagine this was devastating news to receive but since learning about the condition, we’ve done everything we can, with the help of our family and friends, to raise as much money for the CF Trust as possible which helps anybody suffering with the disease.

Last year we took part in our 1st challenge which was a 310 mile ride
from Barcelona to Valencia which was 1 hell of a challenge but we did it and thanks to all of your generosity, we managed to raise an amazing £9270 for the CF Trust!
😊. This year, we felt we had to go even bigger to keep the donations coming so we’ve set ourselves the challenge of cycling over 400 miles in 4 days from Porto to Lagos (all of the details are on the video!). The dream team this year is made up of Jack,  Sean, Phil and me with the ride starting on the 21st May and finishing on the 24th.

It's going to be extremely tough and we’ve already started training as much as we can. You were all so generous last time which made it a huge success and any donations you can make at all, no matter what size, will make a massive difference in helping people with CF by funding cutting-edge research, driving up standards of care and supporting people with the condition and their loved ones.

Thank you! x
