Story
"Oh no, not another plea for money" I hear you sigh. Well you only have yourselves to blame! Due to your extreme generosity in helping us raise over £3000 last year (top 5% of fundraisers), the British Heart Foundation gave us a priority entry for this year's race. Although we left Brighton in June 2014 saying "never again" (well, most of us), we find ourselves yet again on our bikes, training madly - yes we've already conquered the Zigzag on Box Hill!
As it will always be, we are doing this in memory of Mark, and others that we have loved and lost. He was a thoughtful, caring man devoted to his family and wonderful friends, so full of humour and quick wit. His death was so sudden, and so unfair, shocking us all. He was aged just 47 and it was caused by coronary heart disease.
Six years on and he is still missed every single day and we wish he was here with us instead.
So once again, Bradleys, Gambers, Hawkes, Hayons, Murfitts, and Parkers are teaming up to cycle to Brighton and all the money raised will help in the fight against heart disease. It would be a wonderful thing if we could prevent another family (and their friends) from having to suffer the devastating loss of someone they love in similar circumstances.
