Bupa Great North Run 2014 · 7 September 2014 ·

Every day in the UK, another 240 people wake up to the catastrophic impact of a stroke. The Stroke Association is the only charity in the UK providing lifelong support for all stroke survivors and their families.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In June 2013, a close friend of mine, Emma Laura Witty, suffered a stroke.

After showing signs of progress in recovery, she tragically passed away following a brain aneurysm on the 20th, at the age of just 19.

In Emma's memory, I'm raising money on behalf of the Stroke Association. A charity which helps to rehabilitate stroke victims, giving them the best possible chance of reclaiming their quality of life. Your kind donations would also go towards research into the prevention of this debilitating condition, saving many lives.

I am participating in the 2014 Great North Run. A half marathon. 13.1 miles.

If you'd of told me a couple of years ago I'd be running a half marathon, I'd of laughed you out the building, so please donate whatever you can to this great cause!
