Story
As part of our conclusion to the summer term and this academic year, we have a fundraising College Day titled ‘Pounds for Paddy’ on Thursday 18th July 2019, sponsoring the charity ‘DKMS’, a charity that registers blood stem cell donors to provide lifesaving treatments for patients with a blood cancer or blood disorder who need a blood stem cell transplant. Through supporting this charity, we hope to raise further awareness in supporting ‘Paddy’s Plea’, searching for a blood stem cell donor for our year 7 student Paddy. In addition, we will be helping to fund the important work that DKMS does in swabbing potential blood stem cell donors.
For this worthwhile charity, we are challenging students to raise 'Pounds for Paddy' in a number of ways. Students will be pounding the path of the school's field where they can run or walk each lap, raising £1 a lap for Paddy. As part of this challenge, we would like students to collect sponsorship, aiming to collect at least £4 each. Any sponsorship money can be added here!
Thank you for your support in raising money for this very worthwhile cause.
